Map of me- outcome- visual identity book.

Yes, I’m close to being done with Map of me. I still have to make some changes in printed Restless magazine but I love doing that. The worst is Engage. I leaving it as the last one to catch up with.

Intro

RESTLESS APP is a type of interactive magazine application for Ipad.

This is kind of youth urban subculture magazine focused on London and personal experience of designer /photographer.

The user through the interface can see the pictures and a short story about people and places featured. Within Google, Maps user is able to navigate to the location or have a saved list of all the spots.

App sections

The app is divided into 3 sections: FACES, PLACES AND MAP.

In faces, the user can look at the portraits accompanied with a short story.

In places, the user is able to navigate to the locations in East and South London, explore the photo album, read the story and get directions in google maps.

In the map section, all locations of the places appearing in the application are marked in Google Maps.

Typography

Interstate font is very readable and well in its presentation.          Its modern look fits urban and futuristic design of Restless app.

Logo/Name

The name of the app represent energetic and urban /underground life of the locations represented and  people featured

The vivid colour goes well with youth, subculture and alternative brands design. Neon effects give a touch of underground/nightlife and leftfield scene.

Colour palette

I have chosen three key colours for every screen – vivid pink, black and white. I used black mainly for transparent text windows and white too for the text to give good contrast and make it easy to read. I use basic colours as black and white as photography have a very vibrant colours and different ones don’t look aesthetically. Pink more ap within the header in Logo and Menu icon what which helps to put an impact for the significance of the header.

After tutorial with Ricardo last week I have decided to expand my book for more visuals and pagesvisual identity bookvisual identity book2visual identity book3
